week 32

At the apple orchard, trying to get a before photo to compare next year. Note Hannah running out of the photo again!

week 31

After dinner one night we enjoyed a few smores around the fire with the Harris family.

Week 30

A last trip to the beach for a picnic. The sun was setting and it was beautiful. A perfect last day...and leah enjoyed eating sand.

Week 29

remembered at the end of the week that we didn't have a photo...

WOW half way!

I made it half way and I think I have only missed two weeks! {{patting self on back}}

The photos haven't been the masterpieces that I hoped for but they are photos of me and my girls...maybe if I find my remote I can try to take some better ones...but I am happy that I have as many photos of us as I do!

Week 26

With Aunt Gretchen in Boston. We had gotten caught in the rain on the way to breakfast. Hannah was ever so eager to be in a photo :)

Week 25

At the ledyard fair, Hannah very first pony ride.

Week 24 (August 25- August 31)

At the pool in Texas taken by Nanny O. It was Leah's first time in a pool. Hopefully Leah will forgive me for making her wear that silly hat...but it was super sunny. And hopefully y'all will forgive the up close and personal shot of the milk makers...it appears that Leah is very focused.

Week 23 (August 18-August 24)

Poppy and Nanny were in town and we went to Chuck E Cheese. Yes, it's been done before...but it is a photo of me and leah and was taken during the 23rd week!

Week 22 (August 11 - August 17)

Hannah and I bought some new blue (still her favorite color) nail polish this week.

Week 21 (August 4 - August 10)

Yes, I missed Week 20 but that is only the second time I have missed a week. So to make up for it - here are two from Week 21!

I took both of the girls to Mystic Seaport this week. For the midwesterners, it reminds me of a nautical themed Greenfield Village. We wandered around and I was about to take Hannah's photo on this painted whale when a woman offered to take one of all of us. Despite the way it seems, Leah did not end up on her head after this shot was taken. Notice Hannah in her "uniform" of pink and blue.

On Friday, we went to Misquamicut Beach in RI for the evening. Two year olds are not always cooperative. :) For a photo of Andy and Leah that made the paper, check out our family blog (link on the right side).

Week 18 (July 14- July 20)

Week 17 (July 7- July 13)

some snapshots from the North Stonington Fair

Week 16 (June 30- July 6)

at eastern point beach

Week 15 (June 23 - June 29)

We were in Kalamazoo and met up with Sarah and Emily at Milham Park. It was fun taking our girls to a place we used to go...though too bad the 7-11 is no longer there. On a side note, Hannah tried her first slurpee the other day. It was a big hit!

Week 14 (June 16-June 22)

Without trying, Hannah and I both ended up with green shirts and blue shoes which she though was great! She is big into things that match right now...she likes to pick out the crayons that match what she is wearing. She IS NOT big into getting her photo taken...

Week 13 (June 9-June15)

During a trip to Chuck E Cheese with Hannah, Leah, Poppy, Nanny and Andy, I got this "sketch" done of Leah and I. Hannah did not want to participate once again. Though she seemed perfectly happy to get "sketches" with Poppy and Nanny. Woe is me.

Week 12 (June 2- June 8)

Diane remembered that I needed a photo late on Sunday...Dan took this for me. Hannah once again did not feel like getting her photo taken with me. Boo-hoo!

Week 10 (May19-25)

The weather last weekend was so nice that we decided to have a picnic dinner and walk the beach. It was our first beach outing of the year and Leah's first time at the beach. Yes that is Leah in the baby wrap and also wearing a hat.

Week 8 (May 5-11)

Taken on my first Mother's Day as a mom of two little girls!

Week 7 (April 28 - May4)

OK...I was going to lie and claim that this was from week 7...but really it is from the beginning of week 8. Hannah didn't want to be in the photo but you can see that we captured her a bit in the second photo :)

Week 4 (April 7-13)

Two to share from last week since neither turned out how I expected.

This is Hannah and I painting at her easel. I did not think about the XXL tshirt and xmas pj pants I had on until after I took the photos...but it is my right to crop the photo how I see fit when I look like I weigh 500 lbs (and I have gained less than 20 with this baby!)

This shot looked much cooler in my head. I could see our reflections in the pool and took a couple of shots...no amount of play (my photoshop skills are still developing) could pull our reflections out a bit more. We were at the aquarium last week with Julie and Joaquin. You can see Hannah sitting on the steps checking out the beluga whales and I am the one with the camera. Julie and Joaquin are behind us.

Week 3 (March 31-April 6)

Hannah the photographer. She thought using the remote for the camera was the greatest thing. Actually she just liked that when she pushed the buttons (a button pusher like her father!), the lights (flash) went off. I'll take what I can get.

Sunday, March 30, 2008

Week 2 (March 24-30)

A little bit of cuddle time before bed...we could both sure use it today.

Week 1 (March 17-23)

This one is a little bit of a cheat since it was taken on the 15th. But I love the photo and think it is a great way to start off this challenge. Plus Hannah, Andy and I took turns being sick last week.

This photo was taken by Amy (Amy Ro Photography). She is an online friend that I have known for over a year and finally got to meet in person last weekend when she came and took some maternity photos for me. It was so nice to finally "meet" her and she took some amazing photos.

Check out her blog http://www.amyrophotography.blogspot.com/ to see a few others from the session.

THANKS AMY!!!!

52 weeks challenge

On my photography message board, we are doing a 52 weeks challenge (adapted from a flickr challenge). The challenge is to get in front of the camera once a week with your kids. The photo can be taken by someone else or yourself...just as long as there is proof that you do exist WITH your kids. As the "photographer" in the family, I am always behind the camera and often do not have any pics of me and Hannah. So I am attempting a new photo every week with Hannah or baby girl or both.
